Job summary

Northampton School, part of The NSB Trust, is seeking an Attendance Officer to drive attendance and punctuality across a growing school, at our brand-new site off Thorpeville. The role sits within the Inclusion team and collaborates with SENDCo, senior leaders, families and external agencies to ensure every student is supported to attend regularly and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will manage attendance processes, first-day responses, monitoring and intervention work,

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Strong communication with parents, students, colleagues and external agencies.
• Experience of using databases and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Professional, approachable and able to manage sensitive situations with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day attendance processes and first-day response procedures.
• Monitor attendance and implement intervention work with students and families.
• Work closely with SENDCo, senior leaders and external agencies to support attendance goals.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and generate timely reports.
• Support safeguarding and wellbeing across the school.
