Bowlee Park Community Primary School is seeking an Attendance Officer to manage day-to-day attendance systems, monitor pupil attendance, and coordinate daily administration. The role involves working with families, teachers, and external agencies to implement whole-school attendance strategies.

The post is term-time only at 37 hours per week, with travel required. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are expected.

Qualifications

• Understanding of school systems
• Understanding of factors affecting non-school attendance
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Competent in a range of IT packages
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative

Responsabilités

• Take responsibility for day-to-day attendance systems and processes
• Monitor and track pupil attendance
• Coordinate daily attendance administration
• Identify and address individual attendance issues
• Work with pupils, parents and teachers to improve attendance and punctuality
• Develop and implement strategies to boost attendance rates
• Collaborate with senior staff and external agencies on whole-school attendance strategies
• Build positive relationships with families, supporting those who need help most
• Travel as part of the role
