Job summary

Harrogate Grammar School is seeking an Attendance Officer to join the Pastoral Services team. You will oversee daily attendance, punctuality, and reporting, working with students, parents and staff to remove barriers to regular attendance.

You will monitor attendance data, identify trends, and support interventions to improve outcomes for pupils within a positive pastoral environment. Experience in a school setting and familiarity with attendance systems are desirable.

Qualifications

• Organised and proactive approach to attendance administration.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Comfort handling sensitive conversations regarding attendance.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in attendance data and reports.
• Experience in a school pastoral/attendance setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Arbor or similar school information systems preferred.
