Job summary

Harrogate Grammar School is seeking an Attendance Officer to join our Pastoral Services team. The role focuses on accurate daily attendance administration, punctuality monitoring and reporting to support decisions that improve student attendance.

Term-time only with 39 weeks, you will work with students, parents and staff to identify barriers to attendance and analyse trends, contributing to our aim of high attendance and positive pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

• Highly organised, accurate and proactive.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with data and identifying patterns and trends.
• Experience in school/pastoral/attendance environment desirable.
• Experience using Arbor or similar school information systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily attendance and punctuality records accurately and timely.
• Monitor and analyse attendance data and produce reports to support decision-making.
• Follow up absences and communicate with students, parents and staff.
• Identify patterns/trends and groups needing additional support.
