Job summary

Harrogate Grammar School is seeking a highly organised attendance administrator for a term-time role (20 hours per week, 9am-1pm). You will promote attendance and punctuality, support students, families and staff, and manage attendance records with precision.

The role covers day-to-day attendance administration, reporting, and coordinating with pastoral teams to implement interventions that help every student access their education.

Qualifications

• Able to maintain accurate attendance records and ensure data is processed efficiently and accurately.
• Confident in building positive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies, communicating clearly and empathetically.
• Able to identify concerns early and work with colleagues to support improvements in attendance.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day administration of attendance processes.
• Maintain accurate records through Arbor.
• Communicate with parents and carers.
• Produce attendance reports and support interventions to improve attendance outcomes.
• Help ensure students are in school, ready to learn and able to achieve their full potential.
