Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a well-established school in Rushden to appoint an Attendance Officer for an immediate start. The role focuses on monitoring attendance, managing punctuality, and supporting students to remove barriers to regular schooling.

You will work with senior leaders, pastoral staff, and parents to safeguard pupil wellbeing. The successful candidate will combine administrative capability with sensitivity in handling conversations with families, maintain confidential

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, attendance monitoring, or pastoral support.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Proficient IT skills and database/reporting capabilities.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Monitor daily pupil attendance and punctuality with accuracy.
• Contact parents about unexplained absences and lateness.
• Identify patterns and coordinate targeted support with pastoral leads.
• Maintain attendance databases and generate reports for SLT.
• Support attendance meetings and interventions.
• Collaborate with safeguarding and pastoral teams for vulnerable pupils.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and guidance.
