Job summary

Northern Education Trust in Bolton seeks a Manager to lead the academy attendance team and drive whole-school attendance strategies. You will provide operational support, monitor attendance targets and work with staff across the academy to maximise learning time for every pupil.

The role requires engaging with parents/carers, promoting attendance improvements, and ensuring safeguarding and NET policies are followed. Flexibility in working arrangements may be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading attendance strategies in a school setting.
• Ability to liaise with parents and carers to improve attendance.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and education regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the academy attendance team to promote whole-school attendance strategies.
• Provide operational and administrative support and monitor attendance targets.
• Engage with parents/carers to improve pupil attendance and learning access.
• Ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and NET policies.

Job description

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Working Type: Full Time - 37 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks

Base: ESSA Academy, Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, BL3 3HH

Our successful candidate will lead the academy attendance team in providing operational and administrative support to promote whole academy attendance strategies, to improve attendance and persistent absence in line with academy targets. They will also help parents/carers to improve their children’s attendance thus improving their access to learning, enabling all children and young people to maximise their educational opportunities.
