Job summary

Northern Education Trust requires a dedicated Learning Support Assistant at ESSA Academy, Bolton. The post focuses on mentoring students to achieve GCSE milestones, working with small groups and individuals across Key Stage 3 and 4, under the direction of a class teacher and Inclusion Manager.

The role offers a structured development programme, flexible working within term time, and access to the LGPS and extensive CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting GCSE/KS3-4 students with learning needs.
• Ability to deliver mentoring and small-group learning support.
• Commitment to safeguarding and completing pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Support interventions with students requiring additional help.
• Work with small groups and individuals under a teacher or Inclusion Manager.
• Assist with welfare, learning activities and assessments.

Job description

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Working Type: Part Time, Term Time only (35 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks)

Base: ESSA Academy, Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, BL3 3HH
