Job summary

TLTP Group is recruiting an Attendance Officer for a secondary school in the Dunstable area. The role focuses on improving student attendance by monitoring, data analysis and liaising with students, parents and school staff.

The successful candidate will maintain attendance records, follow up absences, and contribute to interventions to raise attendance levels. Experience with SIMS or Arbor is advantageous and a collaborative school team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment, supporting students and families to improve attendance.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple data points and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate electronic attendance registers and student records.
• Follow up unexplained absences, lateness and truancy with parents and carers.
• Monitor attendance data and produce reports for senior leaders.
• Identify students at risk of persistent absence and support interventions.
• Coordinate attendance meetings and track the impact of interventions.
• Liaise with pastoral teams, senior leaders and external agencies as required.
