Job summary

Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking an Athletic Director/Coordinator to guide CMSD sports programs and activities. You will ensure compliance with CMSD guidelines, coordinate practices and competitions, and manage rosters, eligibility, and equipment.

Strong coaching background and required certifications are essential. Applicants should have coaching experience, CPR, and an Ohio coaching permit.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR certificate required.
• This position requires a Pupil-activity (coaching) permit from Ohio Department of Education.
• Previous successful coaching experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the sport/activity and willingness to seek new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Attend CMSD Pre-season meetings.
• Follow CMSD guidelines and rules.
• Attend practices and games on time.
• Track and communicate student eligibility.
• Submit roster and transportation paperwork to athletic department.
• Distribute and care for uniforms and equipment.
• Participate in professional development by Athletics Department.
• Upload scores and statistics to CMSD site.
• Work with principal to implement program vision.
• Supervise students before and after practice and competitions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators.
