Job summary

CLSA in London seeks an experienced operations assistant to support the Sales team with equity settlements knowledge and regulatory awareness. The role rotates between trade support and settlement, requiring accuracy and strong communication.

You will handle end-of-day tasks, client data, reconciliations, NAV/fees dissemination, and collaboration with regional offices to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree holder.
• Minimum 3 years of prior experience within financial services.
• Strong efficiency, numeracy, and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with computer systems and MS Office applications.
• Basic understanding of the commercial and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Input client sub account allocations to OMS (Order Management System).
• Complete end-of-day activities.
• Support GDR conversions.
• Coordinate with Sales Traders to ensure accurate reporting of average price and other client information.
• Reconcile client confirmations where applicable.
• Retrieve, collate and distribute client static data to relevant offices.
• Provide operational support for placements including blotter tasks and client letters for transmission to Head Office.
• Resolve ad hoc requests from clients and internal sources.
• Create and monitor trades for residual EMF trades and reconcile confirmations.
• Reconcile stock positions between in-house systems and agent statements; resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile cash positions between in-house systems and agent statements; resolve discrepancies.
• Disseminate NAV and management fee information.
• Support ad hoc booking of global client EMEA trades.
