Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking an Associate in its Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage team in the UK. You will support specialists by building and maintaining business with customers, providing analytical insights into sector needs, and delivering suitable solutions to meet those requirements.

You’ll help present the bank as a leading partner through cross-functional collaboration, risk-aware decision making, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing, preparing, or managing financial and legal documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of documentation standards and governance requirements.
• Experience from the financial services sector with understanding of industry products, processes and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to corporate banking and finance environments with knowledge of lending, transaction banking, treasury, or broader corporate banking activities.

Responsibilities

Join us as an Associate in Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage

• You’ll utilise your knowledge of bank capabilities to prepare first class customer and sector analysis and pitch materials, supporting with strategy definition and transaction origination
• You’ll have the opportunity to develop a network of relationships with stakeholders to understand and shape strategy, process and capability and provide a market leading service
• It’s a critical role, where your work will directly support the bank to maintain excellent customer relationships

What you’ll do

As an Associate in Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage, you’ll support our specialists in building and maintaining business with their customers. You’ll provide analytical capability to understand customer and sector requirements and deliver appropriate solutions to meet those requirements.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll support specialists in all aspects of activity to present the bank as the leading partner to customers.

You’ll also:

• Support your colleagues in all aspects of commercial strategy and internal stakeholder management
• Develop a good understanding of all aspects of strategy and product definition
• Develop a good understanding of transaction execution to support the shaping of strategy and capability

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to solve complex problems, and a track record of working with others to build business success. You'll bring experience of reviewing, preparing, or managing financial and legal documentation, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of documentation standards and governance requirements.

You’ll also need:

• Experience from the financial services sector, with understanding of industry products, processes, and regulatory requirements
• Exposure to corporate banking and finance environments, with knowledge of lending, transaction banking, treasury, or broader corporate banking activities
• A practical understanding of risk management disciplines
• The ability to build a good network across the bank
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
