Job summary

RBS in Greater London is seeking an Associate in Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage to support specialists in building and maintaining business with customers.

You’ll provide analytical capability to understand sector requirements and deliver tailored solutions while helping shape strategy, process and capability across the bank. Hours are 35 per week with a hybrid working pattern, offering opportunities to develop stakeholder networks and contribute to market-leading service.

Qualifications

• Experience from the financial services sector with understanding of industry products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to corporate banking and finance environments with knowledge of lending, transaction banking, treasury, or broader corporate banking activities.
• A practical understanding of risk management disciplines.

Join us as an Associate in Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage

• You’ll utilise your knowledge of bank capabilities to prepare first class customer and sector analysis and pitch materials, supporting with strategy definition and transaction origination
• You’ll have the opportunity to develop a network of relationships with stakeholders to understand and shape strategy, process and capability and provide a market leading service
• It’s a critical role, where your work will directly support the bank to maintain excellent customer relationships

What you’ll do

As an Associate in Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) Sector Coverage, you’ll support our specialists in building and maintaining business with their customers. You’ll provide analytical capability to understand customer and sector requirements and deliver appropriate solutions to meet those requirements.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll support specialists in all aspects of activity to present the bank as the leading partner to customers.

You’ll also:

• Support your colleagues in all aspects of commercial strategy and internal stakeholder management
• Develop a good understanding of all aspects of strategy and product definition
• Develop a good understanding of transaction execution to support the shaping of strategy and capability

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to solve complex problems, and a track record of working with others to build business success. You’ll bring experience of reviewing, preparing, or managing financial and legal documentation, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of documentation standards and governance requirements.

You’ll also need:

• Experience from the financial services sector, with understanding of industry products, processes, and regulatory requirements
