Job summary

Zodiac Recruitment Ltd. in Watford is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer (Building Structures) to lead and assist in developing the client’s Structural Engineering Surveys and Small Works team.

The role involves managing growth, overseeing delivery, and delivering surveys, assessments, and small works such as alterations and extensions with a client-focused approach. The position requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in Structural Engineering and Chartered status with IStructE.

Qualifications

• Undertaking detailed design and assessments, production of reports, specifications and schedules with evidence provided.
• Experience in Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Experience of visiting sites, making observations and providing written advice.
• A broad experience in various construction sectors and materials; experience in managing others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in development of Structural Surveys and Small Works team.
• Act as client lead on work streams and contribute to growth of the department.
• Oversee delivery of projects and ensure client satisfaction.
• Produce and review design outputs, reports, and schedules.
