Job summary

Ideagen is seeking an Associate Sales Engineer to support the technical side of the sales process, alongside Account Executives and Account Managers. This entry-point role includes structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience with customers, technology and solution consulting.

You'll be backed by experienced Sales Engineers and leadership, developing your technical, commercial and customer-facing skills while gaining expertise across Ideagen's product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a technical, customer-facing, pre-sales or related role, or a recent graduate with a strong interest in technology and sales.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and stakeholders.
• Curious and motivated to learn how software solutions solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery conversations, product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities for prospective and existing customers.
• Partner closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to understand customer requirements and help position the right solutions.
• Prepare demonstration environments, presentations and supporting materials for customer engagements.
• Develop knowledge of Ideagen's products and how they address customer challenges across EHS, Quality and Compliance.
• Learn and apply Ideagen's sales methodologies, qualification processes and competitive positioning strategies.
• Gather customer and prospect feedback and share insights with colleagues to support product and sales improvements.
• Utilise approved AI tools and technologies to enhance preparation, productivity and customer engagement activities.

As an Associate Sales Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the technical side of the sales process, working alongside Account Executives and Account Managers to demonstrate how Ideagen's solutions solve real business challenges. Skills And Experience

• Prior experience in a technical, customer‑facing, pre‑sales or related role, or a recent graduate with a strong interest in technology and sales.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and stakeholders.
• Curious and motivated to learn how software solutions solve complex business challenges.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Comfortable learning technical concepts and explaining them clearly to different audiences.
• Exposure to enterprise software, SaaS or technology solutions would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Experience within regulated industries such as EHS, Quality or Compliance is advantageous, though full training will be provided.
