Associate Product Designer

London

Product Design (UX/UI) – Full Time / Hybrid

Apply for this job

As an Associate Product Designer, you will be embedded within the Core mission team. You will be responsible for all aspects of UX and UI for your squad with support from the UX Lead, who you will report into. Designers at Moneybox are accountable for every feature they design - launching features which touch all of our customers. You will work alongside other designers at a range of levels and collaboratively with Product Managers and Developers in a lean environment.

You must have at least 1 year of experience in a product-led organisation, a portfolio demonstrating your UX design process and visual design of digital products and features for native apps or web. You should have an interest in technology, an eye for detail, and a desire to learn on the go and think on your feet. All applications must include a copy/link to your portfolio.

What you'll do
  1. Full stack product design, taking responsibility for all aspects of the feature you design - with a focus on making the product easy-to-use and magical.
  2. You will work directly with the product, insights, and engineering teams to understand the user base, business needs, related requirements, and technical constraints.
  3. You will report directly to the UX Lead for your mission and be based in the London office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office, Monday and Wednesday).
  4. You’ll have weekly 1-2-1 sessions with your line manager to encourage development and growth.
  5. Have a deep understanding of the Moneybox customers, products, and app.
  6. Detailed design of the feature you’re working on, creating prototypes and user flows to communicate your ideas and rationale to wider stakeholders.
  7. Continuously deliver design iterations to achieve the best experience, usability testing where possible.
  8. Responsible for the final UI, creating pixel-perfect screens utilizing design system components where possible, creating new patterns where required, and adding beautiful transitions and animations to make the experience magical.
  9. Evaluate UI/UX design throughout the development cycle and support the development team.
  10. Use data and customer feedback to refine and optimize screens, processes, and micro-interactions.
  11. Participate in design reviews and contribute to the wider Moneybox design team.
Who you are
  1. A driven designer with a minimum of 1 year experience delivering both UX and UI design in digital environments, including mobile and app.
  2. Possess a portfolio full of beautiful, well-thought-out interface work showcasing your flair and attention to detail. Include examples of mobile app products you have worked on (iOS and Android).
  3. Competent with each stage of the UX/UI design process (e.g., process flow development, system architecture, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, prototyping).
  4. You’re a great communicator and work well autonomously.
  5. Eager to deliver impeccable visual designs with high attention to detail.
  6. Quick learner, open-minded, curious, and eager to learn new skills.
  7. Ability to think on your feet, adapt, and convey your ideas and thought process.
  8. Passionate about delivering great experiences and solving problems.
  9. You thrive in a fast-paced environment using lightweight processes, creative ideas, and quick iteration to make a big impact.
  10. Love showing your work often to improve and grow.
  11. Interest in the FinTech industry and helping people build wealth.
