Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team at Manningtree. You will install, commission and test water filtration systems on sewage sites, and support site inspections and surveys.

The role requires a driving license, City & Guilds qualification and a recognised mechanical apprenticeship; you will work across sites, sometimes overnight, and collaborate with other trades.

Qualifications

• Current Valid Driving License
• City & Guilds Qualified
• Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage).
• Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
• Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.
• Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
