Goodfellow is seeking an Associate Materials Solutions Lead in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This role sits at the intersection of materials science and commercial delivery, offering a clear path to full Lead ownership of high-value projects.

You will own moderate-complexity opportunities end-to-end, translate technical requirements into deliverable solutions, and coordinate specialists to drive proposals, pricing, and successful closes in a B2B setting.

Qualifications

• STEM degree in materials science, engineering, chemistry or related.
• Experience in technical or solution sales within advanced materials B2B environments.
• Commercial judgement across pricing, margin and negotiation.
• Ability to coordinate technical specialists to deliver solutions.
• Exposure to technically-led sales cycles and the pace they require.
• Ambition and trajectory to grow into a Lead role.
• Breadth across materials families such as metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers or composites.
• Exposure to microfabrication or materials testing and analysis.
• Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
• Experience in procurement or supplier sourcing.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of materials opportunities from qualification through to commercial close.
• Interpret customers' technical requirements and translate into deliverable solutions.
• Coordinate technical, sourcing and quality colleagues to build and deliver each solution.
• Lead proposals, pricing, negotiation and close with support from the Lead on complex calls.
• Partner with account managers to provide technical and commercial input on opportunities.
• Contribute to large, strategic materials projects to build toward independent ownership.
• Develop knowledge across materials families, commercial processes and applications.
