The role focuses on leading electrical building services design from concept through to detailed stages, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with architects, structural engineers and contractors.

You will oversee project delivery, reports, drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards and health and safety requirements in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical building services design within consultancy or contractor environment.
• Experience leading projects and managing teams.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered or working towards IEng or CEng status.
• Proficient in CAD and BIM tools including Revit.
• Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of design projects.
• Act as lead engineer for electrical building services design from concept through to detailed stages.
• Manage project delivery, risk and commercial performance.
• Produce and oversee reports, drawings and specifications across RIBA stages.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers and contractors.
• Attend client and technical meetings, providing clear and confident advice.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and health and safety requirements.
