Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status for Senior Associate; desirable or working towards for Associate.
• Strong technical competence in electrical building services and design guides.
• Ability to lead integrated design teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Excellent client-facing, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable commercial awareness: monitor project costs and risks.
• Proven people leadership: motivate, delegate and develop team members.
• Highly organized with planning skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• IT-literate with proficiency in industry software and BIM workflows.
• Committed to CPD and knowledge-sharing.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary client contact for projects; define briefs and represent Hoare Lea professionally.
• Promote Hoare Lea’s services to create opportunities and support client objectives.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, prioritise workloads and chair internal meetings.
• Deliver profitable, high-quality schemes; monitor expenditure and resources.
• Delegate, review and check work from junior staff; contribute to staff development.
• Maintain awareness of procurement routes and commercial risks; mitigate risks.
• Contribute to technical knowledge sharing and ensure standards compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to support repeat business.
• Senior Associate: Lead larger, multi-discipline schemes; attend interviews and support bid preparation.
• Senior Associate: Support development and leadership of local team and report to senior management.
