Job summary

Matchtech Group is assisting a client in London to recruit an Associate Electrical Engineer for its Energy Solutions team. The role focuses on designing low‑carbon energy centres, private wire networks and resilient power distribution infrastructure for private sector clients.

You will lead 11kV and LV designs, design private wire networks and district energy schemes, and support electrical services for energy and power distribution projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience in electrical design within private sector and power distribution.
• Knowledge of 11kV and LV systems and decarbonisation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical designs for 11kV and LV systems from feasibility to construction.
• Design private wire networks and low-carbon energy centres.
• Support electrical services design for energy and power distribution projects.
• Conduct site surveys, quality audits, and assessments of facilities.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, schedules, specs, feasibility studies, reports.
• Produce CDM risk assessments and manage health and safety hazards.
• Review contractor design submissions and coordinate with clients and teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project relationships.
