Job summary

SLR Consulting is recruiting for an Associate EHS Consultant to join our Environment Management, Permitting and Compliance team in the UK. You will deliver high-impact health, safety and environmental consultancy services across waste, industry, power and energy sectors, partnering with stakeholders from operations to senior leadership.

You’ll join a growing UK team, with opportunities to work across Europe and collaborate with colleagues globally.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required.
• Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrable business development and client relationship management experience.
• A degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, commercial and solution-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end EHS consultancy projects across a variety of industry sectors.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice to improve environmental, health and safety performance.
• Support clients in meeting regulatory compliance requirements and managing environmental obligations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS legislation and best practice.
• Contribute to business development activities and client relationship management.
• Plan and manage workloads, supporting junior team members to achieve objectives.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional and collaborative approach in all work.
