SLR Consulting is seeking an Associate Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant to join our Environment Management, Permitting and Compliance (EMPC) team. You will deliver high-impact EHS consultancy services to clients across waste, industry, power and energy sectors from our UK team.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent health and safety qualification).
• Experience undertaking EHS audits, with Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrable business development and client relationship management experience.
• A degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, commercial and solution-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end EHS consultancy projects across a variety of industry sectors.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice to help clients improve environmental, health and safety performance.
• Support clients in meeting regulatory compliance requirements and managing environmental obligations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS legislation, industry developments and best practice.
• Contribute to business development activities, identifying opportunities to win new work and develop client relationships.
• Plan and manage workloads effectively, supporting junior team members where required to achieve project objectives.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional and collaborative approach in all aspects of your work.
