A leading consultancy is seeking a full-time Associate Director for their Manchester transport planning team. The role involves business development, project management, and mentoring junior staff while delivering diverse projects for public and private clients.

We are seeking a full-time Associate Director for our Manchester transport planning team based in Manchester.

Responsibilities:
You will have demonstrable business development credentials, ideally with a focus on the North West markets. This role involves leading work winning through established client contacts, building a solid workload to support the development of a small team that will support and enhance the existing team in Manchester.
This includes project management, technical support, staff management, and mentoring junior team members. You will be responsible for managing individual projects, acting as the main client contact, and supervising junior staff.
You should demonstrate relevant technical and market knowledge and experience in working on projects for both private and public sectors across the North West.
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or Master’s in a relevant field (e.g., transport planning, civil engineering, geography). Professional accreditation such as CMILT, TPP, MCIHT, or MICE is desirable.
