Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Edinburgh seeks an Associate Director to join its Project & Programme Management Team. You will lead a high-calibre group, deliver projects with technical excellence, and build strong client relationships across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The role requires proven leadership of complex projects, familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts, and a commitment to continuous improvement, risk management, and business development in line with our strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Degree qualification in a construction related discipline and professional membership.
Proven leadership of project management services in client-facing roles.
Experience building client relationships and business networks.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects via recognised methodologies.
Strong technical project management knowledge and procurement advisory ability.
Familiarity with UK building contracts (NEC, SBCC, JCT) and contract management.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion with limited senior support.
Act as lead client interface, delivering service excellence and managing accounts.
Develop and drive new business opportunities in line with strategy.
Lead fee proposals and bid submissions to support growth.
Mentor junior team members and coordinate development activities.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
