Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited in London is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex building projects, from inception to handover, within a consultative client-focused environment.

You will own projects, manage governance, risk and budgets, chair meetings, mentor junior team members and shape client relationships while delivering high-quality outcomes across sectors such as commercial real estate, education and public buildings.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within the built environment.
• Proven experience delivering property/building projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
• Experience administering JCT (and/or NEC) contracts.
• Confident in a client-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholders.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of projects across the full lifecycle—from business case and procurement through to construction and handover.
• Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, building trusted, long-term relationships.
• Managing programme, cost, risk, and change control processes, ensuring robust project governance.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors, to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Chairing project meetings, including risk workshops and governance forums.
• Overseeing procurement strategies and administering contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC).
• Monitoring project performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving proactive solutions.
• Supporting account management activities, including reporting, client updates, and pipeline development.
• Contributing to business development—identifying opportunities for repeat work and promoting AtkinsRéalis’ capabilities.
• Supporting and mentoring Assistant Project Managers and junior team members.
