Job summary

WSP in London Westferry is seeking an Associate in Building Structures to lead project management, technical leadership, and delivery from inception to handover on a diverse range of high-profile schemes.

You'll develop innovative, sustainable designs for UK and international projects, coordinate with architects, engineers and consultants, and mentor junior staff toward Chartership while strengthening client relations and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful design delivery on major multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience managing medium to large schemes.
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information.
• Experience with commercial and technical management of projects.
• Experience leading and mentoring team members toward Chartership.
• Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered MIStructE / MICE.
• Solid experience in structural engineering design in all materials.
• Knowledge of national codes and standards.
• Experience with ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds.
• Experience with Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept through delivery.
• Lead technical design work on high-profile multi-disciplinary projects.
• Coordinate with Architects, Engineers and consultants.
• Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members toward Chartership.
• Own and lead the design process and manage project delivery.
