Job summary

WSP in London is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Building Structures team. You will manage the technical design and delivery of schemes from inception through handover, working with prestigious UK and international projects.

You will lead design, mentor junior engineers, contribute to bids, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver sustainable structural solutions and value for clients.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered or path to Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
• Solid experience in structural engineering design in all materials.
• Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards.
• Experience with ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer and Tedds.
• Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper beneficial.
• Experience with clients and contractors with diverse objectives.
• Enthusiasm and passion for engineering and a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design process from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities.
• Agree fees and contribute to the management and commercial position on projects.
• Exercise independent judgement and resolve technical issues.
• Mentor and develop junior members towards Chartership.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, external consultants, stakeholders and clients.
• Provide sustainable structural solutions from concept to construction.
• Advise on sustainable design, net zero, MMC & DfMA.
