Join us as an Associate Banker within our UK Mid Corporate team. We aim to attract and win new clients by understanding their ambitions and delivering tailored financial solutions. You will be dedicated to driving business development and supporting the acquisition of new-to-bank (NTB) relationships. You’ll work closely with Relationship Directors and Bankers to shape strategies, manage pipelines, and accelerate deal execution, making a direct impact on growth targets.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong business development mindset with experience in client acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage pipelines and deliver against growth targets.
  • Understanding of risk and control frameworks.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience of building compelling proposals, pitch decks and business cases
  • Familiarity with corporate banking solutions and AML risk.
  • Experience in industry networking and event participation.
  • Ability to take initiative, seeking new opportunities independently

This role is based in Manchester or Liverpool.

Purpose of the role

To support Relationship Directors and managers with the growth of their portfolio, Maximising the clients overall experience by striving to be consistently excellent in all they do.

Accountabilities
  • Following, improving and strengthening of controls wherever possible, working collaboratively with Relationship Director to proactively identify and manage risk.
  • Relationship management with Product and Group Partners and act as a conduit for the portfolio. Deliver Products and Services to meet the needs of our clients and balance both short- and long-term consideration.
  • Provision of Support to Relationship Managers/Directors, such as supporting client contact strategy, Annual Reviews and the maintenance of client account plans.
  • Provision of service to clients to drive positive Savanta scores, ensuring servicing activity is directed to the appropriate contact point championing self-serve and digital adoption.
  • Participation in internal training programs and workshops to develop their knowledge of banking products, financial analysis, and relationship management skills.
  • Development and maintenance of industry knowledge dependent on portfolio purity, supporting team industry initiatives.
