Job summary

Faculty is seeking an Associate within the AI Safety team to scope, build and deliver impactful AI projects for government and industry clients, focusing on frontier model evaluations and crossover work with Government & Public Services clients.

You will build trusted client relationships, analyse requirements, manage workflows, and ensure bespoke AI tools are optimised for real-world operations. This role offers exposure to high-stakes projects and a path to grow expertise in AI safety.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and clear communication across complex topics.
• Passion for Applied AI safety from labs, academia or evaluation/red-teaming roles.
• External client-facing experience and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Experience working with technical teams on AI projects.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative development.
• Thoughtful and proactive in ambiguous situations with initiative.
• Excited about possibilities for innovation in AI Safety technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual work streams to support delivery of bespoke AI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand mission challenges and user needs.
• Conduct open-source analysis to support tool development.
• Translate complex requirements into clear user stories for delivery teams.
• Design and test workflows that support user-centric decision-making.
