Faculty is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to steer upstream AI safety research and evaluation standards, partnering with Frontier Labs to design novel experiment frameworks. You will mentor teams, align technical work with client strategy, and drive rigorous, responsible AI practices across high-stakes engagements.

You will champion robust methodologies, guide cross-functional teams, and contribute to Faculty’s thought leadership through open-source research and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in quantitative data science or upstream AI safety research.
• Advanced Python expertise with NumPy and Pandas.
• Experience designing robust evaluation frameworks and experiments.

Responsabilités

• Directs project teams to deliver upstream AI safety solutions and evaluation standards.
• Architects core scientific experiment designs and robust software infra.
• Mentors data scientists and fosters a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
• Collaborates with commercial leads and executives to scope work and translate challenges into scientific frameworks.
• Advances Faculty’s leadership by developing evaluation methodologies and publishing research.
