Position: Assistant Cashier Manager

The Assistant Cashier Manager supports the Cashier Manager in overseeing the cashiering operations of the store. This role involves supervising a team of 7 people, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, maintaining cash registers, and providing excellent customer service in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Till Management
  • Managing tills, customer queries, and security at the cash desk.
  • Controlling cash handling procedures, investigating, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Managing cash in hand.
  • Team Management
    • Assisting in managing and supervising the cashier team.
    • Training new cashiers and providing ongoing coaching.
    • Ensuring team adherence to brand-specific processes.
    • Leading and motivating the team through weekly meetings and sales targets.
  • Customer Service
    • Addressing and resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
    • Ensuring a positive shopping experience.
    • Handling transactions efficiently and courteously.
  • Administration
    • Uploading prices to the till software and preparing point of sale materials.
    • Liaising with account managers regarding commercial activities and sales results.
    • Reporting customer feedback to management.
    • Maintaining checkout areas and enforcing store policies.
    • Assisting with inventory management and supplies ordering.
    Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in cashiering or retail in a high-volume store.
    • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
    • Reliability, professionalism, and strong commercial acumen.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Proven leadership ability.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
