A bit about the role...

Reporting to the Senior Technical and Commercial of the Capital Projects, this Assistant Technical & Commercial Manager role will support the delivery of key residential led development projects, working alongside other technical specialists to derisk and unlock land by providing technical and commercial advice relative to enabling and infrastructure capital works and contract management.

Working in the Capital Projects team this role will support and manage a range of enabling and infrastructure works to unlock residential led development.

The role will also be responsible for supporting the Capital Projects team delivery functions including coordinating monthly reporting of projects, tracking programme and project risks and deliverables and monitoring H&S responsibilities.

This is a rare chance to shape the future of residential infrastructure development in a dynamic national Agency with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and in a professional technical team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective identification and resolution of technical and commercial issues across a portfolio of development sites.

A bit about you…

You will have a degree or qualification in engineering, construction, surveying or related technical discipline. You will have some experience in project management and/or cost management for construction and/or infrastructure works/housing projects, including awareness of some forms of contracts, including NEC and JCT.

You will be comfortable contributing to the drafting and reviewing of technical scopes, works information and tender documents for enabling works (including demolition, remediation, earthworks, site clearance and temporary works) and infrastructure works (including highways, drainage, utilities, structures, landscape and ecological mitigation) to support residential led development.

You'll be comfortable supporting several projects with technical issues, finding cost effective solutions to unlock and deliver enabling and infrastructure works contracts to facilitate housing led developments.
