Vision Express Glasgow Fort is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused team and delivering great service. If you have optical experience or leadership in retail or hospitality, this is a strong step to develop your career in optics.

You will coach colleagues, drive sales performance through KPIs, manage onboarding, and ensure compliance and smooth store operations. This role offers a competitive bonus, holiday allowance, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Deputy Manager or Assistant Store Manager
• Optical experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
• Comfortable with administration and using store systems
• Commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset
• A passion for developing people and delivering results

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
• Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and service standards
• Support recruitment, onboarding and colleague engagement activities
• Complete administrative tasks and confidently use store systems
• Maintain operational and compliance standards
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence
