Job summary

Vision Express Huntingdon Tesco is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a busy optical retail team, delivering exceptional customer and patient experiences. You will coach the team, drive KPIs, and ensure first-class service on the shop floor.

Role involves working with a Joint Venture team including an Optometrist, Pre-Registration Optometrists and Optical Assistants. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor, team leader or management experience in a retail environment.
• Strong sales skills and a passion for customer service.
• Experience coaching and developing colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the Joint Venture Partners with the day-to-day running of the store.
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues through regular 1:1s and development conversations.
• Support performance management and colleague engagement activities.
• Drive sales through effective KPI management and customer-focused selling.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and patient care.
• Maintain high standards of operational compliance and store standards.
• Lead the store when required and act as a role model for the team.
