Job description

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership and communication abilities to guide their team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while providing excellent service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Store Manager in running all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets, setting clear sales goals, tracking performance, and evolving processes for continuous growth.
  2. Create a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and developing staff to build a motivated, high-performing team.
  3. Analyze sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions with the Store Manager, identifying operational and commercial opportunities.
  4. Act as the point of contact in the manager's absence.
  5. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
  6. Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  7. Support cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciliation.
  8. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff.
  9. Provide feedback and coaching to improve colleague performance.
  10. Assist in maintaining staff schedules for proper coverage and productivity.
Role Objectives and KPIs:
  1. Contribute to achieving or surpassing monthly sales targets.
  2. Drive KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT, and upselling/cross-selling targets.
  3. Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  4. Ensure stock accuracy during audits.
  5. Ensure new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  6. Achieve employee satisfaction and engagement survey benchmarks.
  7. Help control operational costs within budget.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
  2. Passion for retail with good understanding of current trends and competitors.
  3. Experience in coaching and developing individuals.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Proven track record of exceeding sales and KPI targets.
  6. Experience analyzing KPI data for commercial decisions.
  7. Keen eye for detail and commerciality; visual merchandising experience is a plus.
