Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for residential housebuilding in the North East. You will support the Site Manager with daily site operations, trade management, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the build.

The role requires experience in residential construction, strong organization, and the ability to maintain NHBC/LABC standards while coordinating subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager or finishing foreman stepping up.
• Strong knowledge of timber frame and masonry methods.
• Eye for detail; highly organized; NHBC/LABC targets.

Responsibilities

• Daily site supervision alongside Site Manager and coordination of subcontractors.
• Carry out inspections to ensure NHBC/LABC standards and company targets are met.
• Enforce health and safety policies and conduct toolbox talks.
• Track build schedules and help resolve bottlenecks to hit handover milestones.
• Assist with pre-handover inspections, snagging and customer demonstrations.
