Job summary

Bellway are recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to join our Scotland East Construction team in Livingston. The role supports the Site Manager to run a high-volume residential development, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while managing site teams and coordinating with trades.

You will help implement health and safety procedures, maintain site records, and assist in progressing the works in line with technical and planning documents, while delivering excellent customer service to

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• CSCS card at Site Manager level is required
• SMSTS certificate required
• First Aid certificate required
• Construction Management qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ Level 6) desirable
• LOLER certificate desirable
• Scaffold Appreciation certificate desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day‑to‑day running of the development and provide direction on responsibilities
• Support health and safety procedures in partnership with Bellway HSE managers
• Motivate, manage and develop site staff; deliver toolbox talks and coaching
• Ensure site presentation meets the required standards and quality expectations
• Support production delivery in line with technical and planning documents
• Assist with quality control, defects rectification and cost control on site
• Maintain site records and progress returns for reporting
