Job summary

Bellway Homes is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for our Wessex Construction team in Salisbury. The role supports the Site Manager in running a busy residential development, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality works and customer service within timelines.

You will lead site staff, deliver toolbox talks, monitor safety compliance with NHBC/LABC, and help produce progress returns while supporting cost control and a smooth customer handover.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• CSCS card at Site Manager level or equivalent.
• SMSTS certificate and First Aid certification are required.
• Construction Management qualifications are desirable.
• Scaffold Appreciation and LOLER certificates are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager with day-to-day site operations and team direction.
• Assist with health and safety procedures and toolbox talks.
• Motivate and manage site staff; ensure high standards and timely delivery.
• Maintain site presentation and compliance with regulations (NHBC/LABC).
• Assist with production reporting and cost control, liaising with management.
• Coordinate with sales to ensure smooth handover of homes to customers.
• deputise for Site Manager when required.
