Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a high-specification residential development in Blackburn, Lancashire, delivering exceptional finishing, quality control and customer care.

Working with the Site Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, oversee finishing trades, carry out quality inspections and drive defects to completion, while maintaining safety and programme dates.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager on a traditional residential housebuilding site.
• Strong finishing and snagging experience with attention to detail and handover readiness.
• Excellent customer care and ability to resolve homeowner issues professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the development and coordinate subcontractors.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a high-specification residential development in Blackburn, working with a reputable housebuilder delivering quality traditional build homes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager who takes pride in delivering exceptional homes, with a particular focus on finishing, quality control and customer care. The position offers long-term stability, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring homes are completed to an exceptional standard and handed over with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day management of the development and coordinating subcontractors.
• Overseeing finishing trades to ensure homes meet the required high-specification standards.
• Carrying out quality inspections, managing snagging and driving defects through to completion.
• Taking an active role in customer care, ensuring issues are dealt with professionally and efficiently.
• Assisting with plot inspections, quality checks and handover preparations.
• Monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed in line with programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site.
• Working collaboratively with the Site Manager, subcontractors and customer care team to deliver an excellent finished product.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Assistant Site Manager with previous experience working on a traditional housebuilding development.

You will be confident managing finishing stages, have a keen eye for detail and understand the importance of delivering a high-quality home and a positive customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on a traditional residential housebuilding site.
• Strong experience in finishing, snagging, quality control and plot handovers.
• Excellent customer care skills and confidence dealing with homeowners and resolving issues.
• Good subcontractor management and organisational skills.
• A strong understanding of health and safety, build quality and construction programmes.
• Previous site management experience that can be referenced.
