Job summary

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is seeking a dynamic person to join the Wellington shop team. You will deputise for the Shop Manager, help maximise sales and identify new income opportunities, and work with volunteers to set the shop direction locally.

The role requires charity/Not-for-Profit retail experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and a collaborative approach. We offer pension contributions and a health plan after probation.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative person to work as part of a team with the Shop Manager at our Shop in Wellington. As well as deputising for the manager on occasion, you will work together to maximise the shop sales and identify new income opportunities. You will also enjoy the freedom of working with each other to set the direction of the shop at a local level, as well as assisting to lead a team of our brilliant volunteers. So being bored is not an option!

About you

You will have experience of supervising and working within the charity or not for profit sectors alongside significant retail knowledge and experience. Demonstrating emotional intelligence, it is essential that you are a strong team player and can inspire and motivate those around you. You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise as well as bringing excellent communication skills with the confidence to provide excellent customer service internally and externally.

Emergency critical care service

our three airbases play a pivotal role in delivering rapid critical prehospital emergency medical care, by ensuring that residents across the Midlands region have access to a network of air ambulance helicopters within 10 minutes. We provide a pre-hospital helicopter-led service, 24/7 operations, 365 days a year, to residents and visitors across the Midlands region, bringing hospitallevel procedures and medicines to the patient at the scene of an accident or incident.

Retail network

Training provider

we deliver community life skill sessions, such as CPR, bleed control and defibrillation usage, alongside CPD accredited courses, ranging from workplace first aid training to specialist pre-hospital clinical training.
