Woodgreen Pets Charity in Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to join our charity shop team. The role covers shifts on a Wednesday 12:00–16:00 and Sunday all day, with a pro rata salary of £7,343.70 per year and opportunities to cover for holidays within the shop management area.

You will lead a small volunteer team, maintain shop standards, handle stock and cash, and act as the Woodgreen brand ambassador in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum stock availability through the processing of donation received in the shop
• be responsible for compliance, record keeping and cash handling
• be a brand ambassador for Woodgreen to work with the local community to raise awareness and engagement for our cause.

Joining Woodgreen as part of our dynamic Retail team you will help raise funds to enable our organisation to support every pet to have a home where they are loved, well cared for and enjoy positive relationships with their owners. As Assistant Shop Manager at our Cambridge charity shop you will work as part of our shop management team as they continue to strive for excellence. Situated in one of Cambridge’s most vibrant areas, our shop is full of quality clothing, accessories and homeware, reflecting it's quirkiness.

Taking full responsibility in the Shop Managers absence, alongside your own designated tasks, you will;

This opportunity has a working pattern of 10.5 hours a week working on a Wednesday between 12 noon and 4pm and all day on a Sunday. The salary for this position is £7,343.70 pro rata per annum (equivalent to £13.45 per hour). It is important to note that as Woodgreen Charity Shops are open 7 days a week there may be the opportunity, from time to time, to provide cover to support holiday or absences for your Shop Management team or area should you wish to do so.

This competitive salary will be complemented by;

• Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years
