Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers on 29 High Street, Kincardine, FK10 4RJ is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager. The role is 39 hours per week with variable shifts, including weekends, between 4:45 am and 4:15 pm.

Starting pay is £13.58 per hour with an excellent benefits package. You should have supervisory or management experience and be ready to lead by example in a busy, friendly bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/management experience in retail preferred.
• Confident and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Experience delivering on KPIs and profitability.
• Experience in stock management.
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent excellent customer service within your shop.
• Assist the shop manager with operational standards.
• Assist in accurate scheduling (colleague rotas).
• Support new colleagues with induction and training.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal diligence and health and safety.
• Maintain high standards within the shop.
• Ensure compliance with cash and security processes.
• Maintain product quality throughout the day.
• Encourage the development of your team.
• Hands-on role: serving, bake-off, making filled rolls, hot drinks, etc.

Assistant Shop Manager - 29 High Street, Kincardine, FK10 4RJ

39 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).

£13.58 per hour plus an excellent benefits package (see below).

As our Assistant Shop Manager you will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on) between 4:45 am and 4:15 pm - any 5 days from 7. Please only apply if you can commit to this.

To be considered for this role you should have previous supervisory or management experience.

What your key responsibilities are as Assistant Shop Manager:

• Ensure consistent excellent customer service within your shop.
• Assist the shop manager with all operational standards.
• Assist the shop manager in accurate scheduling (colleague rotas) of the shop.
• Assist all new colleagues ensuring that they are fully supported with their induction and training.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal diligence and health and safety, within your shop.
• Maintain excellent standards within the shop.
• Ensure compliance with company cash and security processes.
• Ensure the quality of our products is maintained throughout the day.
• Encourage the development of your team.
• Managing colleagues in a fast paced, customer service environment.
• Remaining “hands-on” serving, bake off, making filled rolls, hot drinks etc.

Key skills and experiences required of our Assistant Shop Manager:

• Previous retail experience in a supervisory role, particularly within the food to go industry would be ideal.
• Confident and enthusiastic
• Experience of delivering on KPI`s and profitability.
• Experience of managing stock.
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle
