Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager in the Perth area. You will oversee daily shop operations, support scheduling, and help train new staff while maintaining high food hygiene and customer service standards. A hands-on approach with serving and bake-off duties is required.

Own transport is expected, and shifts include weekends. We value experience in retail supervision, confidence, and a proactive attitude toward KPI attainment and profitability.

• Previous supervisory or management experience in retail.
• Own transport will be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent excellent customer service within your shop.
• Assist the shop manager with all operational standards.
• Assist the shop manager in accurate scheduling of the shop rotas.
• Support new colleagues with induction and training.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal diligence and health and safety.
• Maintain excellent shop standards.
• Ensure compliance with cash and security processes.
• Maintain product quality throughout the day.
• Encourage team development.
• Manage colleagues in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Remain hands-on with serving, bake off, making filled rolls, hot drinks.

Job description

Assistant Shop Manger - Perth Area.

39 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).

As our Assistant Shop Manager you will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on) between 430am and 630pm - any 5 days from 7. Please only apply if you can commit to this.

To be considered for this role you should have previous supervisory or management experience.

Own transport will be required for this position.

What your key responsibilities are as Assistant Shop Manager:

• Ensure consistent excellent customer service within your shop.
• Assist the shop manager with all operational standards.
• Assist the shop manager in accurate scheduling (colleague rotas) of the shop.
• Assist all new colleagues ensuring that they are fully supported with their induction and training.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal diligence and health and safety, within your shop.

Key skills and experiences required of our Assistant Shop Manager:

• Previous retail experience in a supervisory role, particularly within the food to go industry would be ideal.
• Confident and enthusiastic
• Experience of delivering on KPI`s and profitability.
• Experience of managing stock.
