Job summary

Haven House is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help run the Leytonstone store in the heart of the busy shopping area. You will support the Shop Manager, meet sales targets, and oversee daily shop operations while training volunteers and developing opportunities within the local community.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, hands-on retail experience, and the ability to lead the team with outstanding customer care.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Assistant Manager to help run the Leytonstone store which is based in the heart of the busy shopping area.

The post holder will support the Shop Manager and be responsible for meeting sales targets, managing the store which includes undertaking daily operations for the shop, including the management and training of volunteers, developing business opportunities and building relationships with the local community.

The ideal candidate will have proven interpersonal skills, hands on retail experience, be ambitious, conscientious and will be able to lead the team by demonstrating excellent leadership skills including outstanding customer care. You will also be a key holder for opening and closing the shop.

Hours : 14 hours per week to be worked across Monday to Sunday.
Location : Leytonstone.
Salary range : Band 1 salary range £26,936 per annum, pro rata (actual £10,774 per annum).

189 hours of annual leave + public holidays (pro rata)
