Job summary

BWSC is seeking an Assistant Shift Team Leader for the Brigg Renewable Energy Plant in the United Kingdom. The role reports to the Shift Team Leader and Operations Manager and focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation with full role-specific training provided.

You will perform routine inspections, data collection, and short‑term maintenance, while supporting fuel handling and outage activities.

Qualifications

Strong observational and data recording abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and follow safety rules.
Ability to operate and control equipment and use basic IT tools.

Responsibilities

Inspect and operate the plant, logging data and maintaining safety.
Carry out routine/first-line maintenance and fault finding to improve availability.
Organise housekeeping and plant cleaning on a daily basis.
Monitor performance and take proactive measures to improve efficiency.
Follow site safety rules and assist in HV isolation where needed.
Support maintenance and fuel handling teams for safe operations.
Maintain shift logs and record defects in the CMMS.
Contribute to site procedures and support outages as required.
