Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative invites applications for an Assistant Service Manager in North Powys. You will support the Service Manager to ensure a safe, caring service and lead on day‑to‑day operations, with rota shifts that may include sleep‑ins and weekend work.

You will build strong relationships with people we support and colleagues, carry out appraisals, and lead meetings while developing a person‑centred, flexible service that promotes independence.

Competenze

• Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting.
• Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards).
• Strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential.
• Working knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.
• Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required.
• Full driving licence - essential and willing to travel for meetings and training.
• Access to own car and willingness to use it for transporting people we support; company pays 45p per mile.

Mansioni

• Work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and colleagues.
• Be visible in day-to-day operation; supervise duties in line with people we support.
• Work shifts on a rota basis including sleep-ins; in absence of Service Manager, run day-to-day service.
• Provide leadership and management to the team; monitor performance; conduct one-to-ones and appraisals; lead team meetings.
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders and deliver a person-centred, flexible service to promote independence.
