Cartrefi Cymru Co is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Llandrindod Wells to support people with learning disabilities and lead a dedicated team. You will help run the service safely and compassionately, ensuring individuals live fulfilling lives in their community.

You’ll rotate shifts, including sleep-ins, and step up when the Service Manager is away, guiding staff, monitoring performance and promoting person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting.
• Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards).
• Strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life.
• Working knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.
• Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required.
• Full driving licence and access to own car; travel may be required.

• Work closely with the Service Manager to create a safe, caring and supportive service.
• Be a visible, hands-on presence in day-to-day running; lead on team performance and appraisals.
• Provide leadership, run team meetings and support the team to enable independence.
