The Avenues Group in Margate is recruiting an Assistant Service Manager for the Beresford Gardens service. You will partner with the Service Manager to lead day-to-day operations, supporting two individuals with complex needs through PBS and Active Support, promoting inclusion and meaningful activity.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and support staff development through coaching, while delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a flexible, leadership-focused role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising teams in a care setting.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
• Understanding of safeguarding and positive risk-taking.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the service in partnership with the Service Manager.
• Provide hands-on leadership; mentor staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
• Champion dignity, inclusion and meaningful activities for people supported.
