Job summary

Mencap is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our person-centered services in Guildford, Woking and Cranleigh. You will support the Service Manager to run four supported living services, driving a culture of accountability and high-quality care for people with a learning disability.

You will lead inductions, training, and performance reviews, and oversee planning, risk assessment, and outcome-based support through the What Matters Most app.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required for the successful candidate.
• Experience leading teams across multiple services or sites.
• Ability to coordinate with social workers, healthcare professionals and authorities.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager across four supported living services.
• Promote a accountable team culture and efficient service delivery.
• Lead on induction, training and performance reviews.
• Review and implement support planning, risk assessment, and outcome-based support.
• Contribute to health and safety, safeguarding, and quality assurance systems.
• Oversee administration including rota management and payroll data.
• Complete regular medication audits and finance checks.
• Coordinate with social workers and agencies to ensure coordinated support.
